Georgia Burrell

Solicitor

Georgia joined the Family Department at Taylor Haldane Barlex in September 2020.

Georgia completed a Law with French degree at the University of Central Lancashire and graduated in 2019. She then went on to study her Legal Practice Course at Anglia Ruskin University, passing in July 2020. Georgia was admitted as a solicitor in May 2023.

Georgia deals with Private Law family matters, including divorce, finances, children matters and domestic abuse cases as well as Trust of Land matters. She works closely with clients, taking their instructions and dealing with Court applications. Georgia attends Hearings wherever possible to observe but also as an advocate.

Georgia regularly deals with Legal Aid matters and works with clients to assess their eligibility. THB are one of the few firms in Essex who deal with Legal Aid private matters, in which Georgia is heavily involved.

Georgia also works with FLOWS charity and has successfully dealt with instructions received for urgent applications such as Non-Molestation and Occupation Orders.

Georgia has assisted and managed cases ranging from straightforward divorces to complex cases with allegations of abuse. She understands that these matters can be deeply personal and difficult for clients and takes a proactive but sensitive approach in assisting.

Georgia spent a year living in Lyon, France as part of her undergraduate degree and speaks French.
