CPA meetings are a way to assess a person’s needs and to help create a package of care for that person when they are discharged from hospital.
A person who has been detained under the MHA will be allocated a Care-Coordinator who will help monitor their care in the community. A care-coordinator is usually a Social Worker, Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) or an Occupational Therapist who will see the person regularly in the community to help support their recovery.
A Solicitor from THB can attend this meeting with you to ensure that your legal rights are being complied with and also to help you put forward your views.
