Appeals to Upper Tribunal

If a person is seeking to challenge the decision of a First-tier Tribunal permission must have been granted by Tribunal to appeal. You can only appeal against the decision of a First-tier Tribunal if it was wrong in law.

This may include but is not limited to:

• The Tribunal wrongly interpreting or applying the law
• The Tribunal making a procedural error
• The Tribunal not having any or enough evidence to support its decision
• The Tribunal not providing adequate reasons for its decision in its written decision

The Solicitor that represented the person at the hearing will be able to provide advice on appeal.
