Clemence specialises in Private Family Law at the Chelmsford office, managing an independent caseload with autonomy. An accredited mediator, she promotes Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) as a key tool for resolving family matters. Her background with the University Law Clinic and Citizens Advice Bureau guides her person-centred approach, enabling her to build trust with vulnerable individuals and handle sensitive matters effectively. Clemence supports the family team by drafting legal correspondence and preparing evidence for hearings. She is recognised for guiding clients through complex legal processes and ensuring efficient case management from start to finish.

Strategic Approach

Since joining THB, Clemence has concentrated on Private Family work and assists the family team in the Chelmsford office. In her role as a paralegal, she plays an integral part in managing case files, conducting legal research, and preparing documents, ensuring the smooth and efficient progression of legal matters. Clemence also assists with drafting legal correspondence, client communications, and the preparation of evidence for hearings.

Clemence has attended hearings and regularly communicates with clients. Her strong interpersonal skills and empathetic approach enable her to understand and address client concerns, providing ongoing support and reassurance throughout the legal process.

While working at THB, Clemence has also become an accredited mediator and is a strong advocate for mediation and a wider adoption of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).

Other Interests

In her spare time, Clemence enjoys cooking and baking. She is keen to experiment with new recipes and particularly likes hosting friends and family for meals.

When she is not in the kitchen, Clemence is a keen sportswoman, engaging in a range of sports such as Netball, swimming and going to thehttp://linkedin.com/in/shannon-tomkins-711022120 gym.
