Why Clients Choose Kimberley Thorpe

  • “I wanted to contact you to pass on my sincere thanks for looking after my father, XXX at Martlesham Police Station. He was incredibly scared at the time, and you put him at ease. He told me you were excellent, that he felt well represented and in safe hands. It has been a traumatic experience for all of us, and we have some way to go yet.”
  • “I would like to thank you very much for your help with this whole process, and I hope you can pass on to your manager how happy I am with your service. It makes me very happy to feel like I have been listened to and respected, and as someone with disabilities, this is very important.”

Recent Key Case Highlights

  • R v W – Successfully acquitted by a jury in a rape trial, thanks to meticulous preparation and a strong, evidence-based defence. The case required careful planning, attention to detail, and a strategic approach, all of which played a crucial role in securing a not guilty verdict
  • R v A – Secured a 17-year sentence for a client convicted of murder – an outcome achieved through rigorous case preparation, strategic advocacy, and a focus on mitigating factors. In a case where a significantly longer sentence was a real possibility, the result reflects a strong defence effort under challenging circumstances
  • R v F – Successfully persuaded the CPS to discontinue proceedings after making detailed representations that there was no realistic prospect of conviction. The case involved a defendant who had been unknowingly spiked on a night out and subsequently assaulted emergency workers while under the influence. Careful presentation of the evidence and surrounding circumstances led to the case being dropped before trial

Other Interests

I’m a proud mum of two with a long-standing love for football – I’ve been a loyal Ipswich Town supporter for years and hold a season ticket to prove it! When I’m not cheering from the stands, I enjoy swimming to unwind and stay active. I also love testing my brain with quiz shows like The 1% Club and The Chase. Whether it’s match day excitement, a good swim, or a trivia challenge, I’m always up for something fun and engaging.
