Supporting Will Aid 2026

A solicitors firm in Essex has pledged its support to eight leading charities after signing up to take part in this year’s Will Aid campaign.

Taylor Haldane Barlex has supported Will Aid since 2012, helping to raise vital donations each November by volunteering its time and expertise to write basic Wills. Instead of charging its usual fee, the firm invites clients to make an upfront donation to Will Aid.

Since first taking part, the firm has raised £27,950 for Will Aid and is looking forward to supporting the campaign once again this November.

Helping people protect their wishes

Carly Dartnell, Head of our Private Client Team said: “Making a Will is something many people put off, but it is one of the most important things you can do to make sure your wishes are known and your loved ones are provided for. We hope Will Aid will encourage more people to take that step this November, while knowing their donation will also help support people and communities who need it.”

How does Will Aid work?

Every November, solicitors taking part in Will Aid volunteer their time to write basic Wills, waiving their usual fee and instead inviting clients to make an upfront donation to the campaign.

The suggested donation is £120 for a basic single Will or £200 for a pair of basic mirror Wills.

Supporting eight charities

Donations support eight of the UK’s best-loved charities: Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, Crisis, NSPCC, SCIAF (Scotland), Shelter and Trócaire (Northern Ireland).

Since its launch in 1988, Will Aid has raised more than £26 million in donations for its partner charities, with millions more pledged through charitable legacies.

A nationwide campaign making a difference
