Our Magistrates work is split across North and South Essex Teams together with an established team in our Ipswich office.
This is a full-time position, but part-time applications will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Providing a comprehensive service to both legally aided and private clients
- Attending police stations both inside office hours and outside office hours with overtime fully remunerated.
- Providing advice and advocacy in the Magistrates’ Court.
The Candidate
The successful applicants will be qualified Duty Solicitors with experience of managing their own caseload and conducting all of their own advocacy including conduct of their own trials.
- Must have the knowledge and ability to represent clients at the Police Station, Magistrates Court and as litigator on Crown Court cases.
- All levels of PQE will be considered.
