Charlotte Chambers

Charlotte began practicing as a Mediator in 2019 having completed Foundation training with National Family Mediation.

Charlotte is registered with the Family Mediation Council and is working towards Accreditation, she is also an Associate Member of the Family Mediators Association. Charlotte’s previous work with Citizens Advice provides a strong foundation for her role as a Family Mediator in helping clients navigate the complex mix of concerns following the end of a relationship or family breakdown.

Charlotte worked in London for 15 years where she held various senior support roles in Media and Public Relations companies including Sky and WPP. She has organised international conferences and training programmes. Following a career break Charlotte joined Uttlesford Citizens Advice in 2013 and trained as a Generalist Advisor where she worked with clients on a broad range of topics from practical issues such as managing personal debt, eligibility for benefits, housing disputes as well as a wide range of personal and relationship issues including relationship breakdown, domestic abuse and homelessness. Such a broad mix of clients gave Charlotte invaluable experience, developing her ability to assess complex personal circumstances quickly and sensitively. Her confident, non-judgemental, friendly approach combined with her ability to clearly explain options was greatly appreciated by her clients who were often in distress.

Charlotte is an attentive and empathetic listener and has an ability to explain financial and legal process in regard to Mediation in a clear and accessible way. Her earlier career experience means that she is organised, practical and responsive. Her patient and constructive approach has helped her clients find workable outcomes to their financial and childcare arrangements post separation.
