Emma Bradford

Emma began practicing as a Mediator in 2012, and gained her accreditation with The Law Society in 2017. Emma brings to her role as a Mediator a wealth of business experience and is extremely proficient in supporting clients with their financial settlement considerations.

Emma has held senior management positions in a number of different organisations, and more latterly providing management training and coaching.  It was at this point that Emma chose to come away from general management and specialize in people management and she completed a Post Graduation Higher Diploma in Leadership and Management in 2010. Emma found herself exploring the profession of Dispute Resolution, initially within the workplace, but it soon became apparent that her skills could match the needs of families who needed help with their separation and/or divorce. It was here that she chose to become a Family Mediator.

As an aside, Emma built a personal rental property portfolio and gained a wealth of experience of both property ownership, development and private sector rental as well as a good grasp of Landlord and Tenancy Law. Again, these skills now set her apart; she is able to bring her knowledge of property into the mediation room and assist separating people with their asset considerations.

In the last 4 years, Emma has worked with hundreds of clients, helping to facilitate the processes they need to follow as a result of their separation. Her clear and structured approach, coupled with her natural warmth and supportive demeanor has meant clients are confident and comfortable that they are in safe hands.

“Emma just made everything better. We knew we had so much to sort out and we were both really struggling with the emotional aspect of our divorce. Emma helped us to approach things bit by bit, and we found ourselves at the end of the process with a clear agreement about how we were going to share the parenting of our children as well as how we were going to share our finances. It wasn’t easy, and we didn’t agree on everything at the beginning, but Emma was able to keep us focused and to look at things with different perspectives.” Mrs S, Basildon
